Mostly Shirtless

This figure intrigues me, as there were plenty of instances where Shane was fully clothed in the series, yet they decided to base the figure on a moment when he was showing a little more skin. For female characters, this is a no brainer - "Is there a scene where she was in her underwear or a bathing suit? 'Cause we'll do that version first!" But the males rarely seem to get that treatment... where's my "Gym Training" Duke from the first G.I.JOE movie, Hasbro?

Tom of Finland's Rebel

I first heard about this one about 6 months ago, but it's been around for nearly 10 years. Based on the artwork of Tom of Finland, this guy's a 13-incher, can achieve lots of different positions, is strippable, and includes a variety of dicks to fit your mood.
It seems Rebel was hoped to be the first of a series (it's often notated as 001 Rebel) but for whatever reason this is the only one that made it out. Which is a shame, a whole line of figures this detailed with a variety of looks and body types would be a lot of fun. Of course, then we'd need playsets... the bar/club, the gym (with interconnectable locker room (sold separately)), that "special" area of the park...

Medically, it Makes More Sense to Leave Your Underwear On

If you're going to sell your hero in his underwear, make sure he has some sort of medical tank he can be suspended in.

... or at least bondage equipment...

This Could Be the Reason Why...

You have no idea how erotic I found this card in 1991. Well played, Wacky Packages.

"C'mon, it's how the Greeks did it!"

I've yet to pick up this Bane figure, despite being very excited when it was announced. A shirtless Movie Masters figure? Yes, please! However, I remain underwhelmed whenever I look at it at Toys R Us. The torso just seems like a barely shaped blob that doesn't have the level of detail one expects from the Movie Masters line. It's disappointing when seen in person and I'm not ready to plunk down $35 for it (I've already got a MM Batman figure.) If I can find the Bane loose for $10 at some point I'll add him to the collection.

In the meantime, I'll wait for Mattel to redeem themselves by making a Movie Masters figure of this version of Ryan Reynold's Green Lantern:

Not-So-Buff Peter in the Buff

From high-end to lowbrow... Yay to Mezco for having the balls to give this guy a fairly mass release in 2004 (even if the figure itself doesn't actually have any... except maybe on his chin?!)

Billy

The Figma Billy Herrington figure from Max Factory is near the top of my "want" list. Nicely sculpted, super-articulated, with interchangeable underwear, hands, and head choices. I'm a little disappointed there's not an "anatomically correct" pelvis piece option, instead the figure comes with a flesh colored underwear piece to simulate nudity. Also, there's been 4 releases of this figure and I'd want accessories from 3 of those 4 releases - the black briefs from the Birthday edition, the sleeveless hoodie from the Christmas/New Years edition, and the weight set from the original release (which would be fun to share with my other shirtless figures). But at $100++ a pop, I'll settle for one for now.
